About the eXchange

Welcome to the eXchange!

Our mission is all about connecting shared knowledge for youth wellbeing. We believe we have much to learn from each other, and the worlds of research, practice and experience. All of the content on the eXchange has been developed or chosen with this in mind.  You can visit the eXchange anytime and find hundreds of intentionally curated and created resources focused on youth work, all in one place.

You’ll find evidence that validates your youth work and connects it with a wider knowledge base. You’ll discover tools and strategies that will give you and the youth you work with some new ideas. Or maybe you’ve done your own research, shared it with us, and now it’s featured on the eXchange! If it’s about strengthening youth work, we want to support and share it.

The eXchange has three main features:

The Library for Youth Work
Explore hundreds of diverse resources for a diverse youth sector.

The Evaluation Toolkit
Understand the legacy of your work with youth.

The Online Learning Community (Coming Soon!)
Partipate in our learning community.

We hope you’ll become part of our eXchange community by writing for our blog, asking us questions, and sharing resources and knowledge  with us to feature on the eXchange. We’re also developing a feature where you can connect with other youth workers and youth sector stakeholders – stay tuned!

Finally, don’t forget to sign up for an account! This way, you can save anything that sparks your interest to your own library. You’ll also get a monthly newsletter of highlights from the eXchange sent to your e-mail. Our newsletter features resources, reflections, tips, and highlights from the eXchange community that we think are especially important. Even if you don’t have an account, you can still share resources and spread the youth work knowledge – we’d love it if you did!

The guiding framework for the eXchange is Stepping Up: A Strategic Framework to Help Ontario’s Youth Succeed by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services. You’ll see this reflected throughout the site (especially in our Library for Youth Work) and when you search for content. This framework informs the design and categorization of resources. Visit the Youth Wellbeing section to learn more about this framework.
